Here are a few interesting facts about Lake Tahoe: Lake Tahoe was discovered on Valentines day in 1844 but Capt. John Fremont and Kit Carson. The Indian word Tahoe means “Big Water” or “Water in high place” This was beleived to be the source of the name Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe is 21.6miles long, 12.5 miles wide, and has over 75 miles of shoreline. It’s deepest point measures 1645 Feet!!!!
